Steel Magnolia is bulletproof and ready for single number four.
Over the last couple years this intriguing duo has been making some progress on the charts. They have a top five hit to go along with two others that have peaked inside the top 25 on the country charts.
Now they’re ready for another single off their debut album. And this song is great.

Bulletproof – Steel Magnolia
There is some attitude in this song. It’s got a little rock and roll in it. There is a toughness in the lyrics. Above all else I think track has the sound to get the duo back in the top ten on the charts once again after a few misses the last couple times out.
The song – [easyazon-link asin=”B004GGXYF2″]Bulletproof[/easyazon-link] – is about a girl getting over a guy. It seems she’s just on the cusp of getting over him. He keeps getting in touch, though, and thinking she still needs him. She’s staying tough and kicking him to the curb for good. She’s over it. She’s ready to move on. Maybe she’s kidding herself a bit, but she really wants to get over him and get on with her life.
As we move into the fall season I think this track is going to play well on radio. It seems like people want to hear more from Steel Magnolia. They have a unique sound and personality. They’re aren’t the traditional country act, but they’re not a traditional label either. I think there is some hope here for more success that could lead into a breakout sophomore album.
And speaking of Steel Magnolia and they’re label it seems like they’re getting lost in the shuffle with the other big artists on the Big Machine roster. It’s nobody’s fault. Most would love to be on such a great label. I think it’ll just take a strong building of hit after hit to get these guys their attention.

I think that Bulletproof will be a big hit for them!! If radios would listen to the lyrics – and can’t you just feel the emotion in it!! This song is INCREDIBLE!! I really don’t think it’s fair that Steel Magnolia is getting lost in the shuffle of the other artists!!! 🙁 Steel Magnolia deserves to be promoted big time!!! They are such sweet people and sooooo incredibly talented!! Just listen to “Bulletproof” I think it’s a song everyone could fall in love with if they would just listen!!!! 🙂 Please help promote this song and get radio stations to play it!!! Thanks.
