Steel Magnolia is really hitting their stride right now.

The band is riding on 2 successful singles with another climbing the charts in a big way already. The duo’s first album hits stores next week and the fans are climbing the walls waiting to pick it up.

In the run up to the big release day the duo is giving away a free download of their single Ooh La La – another fun song from Meghan and Joshua.

Ooh La La is fun and catchy just like some other Steel Magnolia songs. Ooh La La is about love at first sight. Finding the love of your life can be frustrating, fun, and especially joyful. The frustrating part can be that you want to jump right in because you know this person is the one.

Ooh La La sticks to the fun side of the things with love. The lyrics are simple and the melody is catchy. The song doesn’t go beyond that and it doesn’t have to. It’s a great song just the way it is. Simple songs are often the difficult songs to make. Sometimes artists and producers seem to over think songs and get away from the simple nature fans are drawn to.

With this song Steel Magnolia should continue their climb to stardom just as their first album is released. The duo is coming into 2011 hot and it could be a big year for them. They’re a great talent and I hope to see them succeed.
