He’s on an independent label. It’s been impressive that he’s already notched a #1 hit and another top ten hit.
Chris has a progressive style. But there’s room for his style in country music right now. And I know that I love turning up the volume on his catchy songs when they come on.
It looks like Chris is moving on to a new album and there is a lead single that just came out.

Take Back Home Girl – Chris Lane
Another really catchy one here. It has the kind of sound that seems like it would be an easy top five. So that’s my prediction for this one. I think people are going to like it.
And there’s the added coolness of having Tori Kelly as the duet partner on it. She’s been working hard and hustling by posting videos on YouTube and now has her own successful mainstream career. Be sure to check out her Justin Timberlake cover if it’s still on YouTube.
Chris and Tori nail this one. It’s a song about a guy that’s found a girl that he wants to take back home. Home to show his friends and family. He’s proud of her and feels lucky that she loves him the way he loves her.
I’m really curious to see how this one ends up on the chart. I think it’s going to be really popular, but it is a little different. Chris has a unique style.
