Hunter Hayes took a chance with the first single from his second album, Storyline. The single, Invisible, really connected with some people and it did well in sales and plays on the radio, but maybe didn’t reach the heights that other lighter songs may have achieved.
But I liked the bold move and I think it earned Hunter new fans. And now we’re going to be introduced to the second single off the album, Tattoo. Give it a listen and see what you think.
Tattoo – Hunter Hayes
We’re back on the upbeat side of things with Hunter. The last song was great, but it always seems good to mix it up a little bit with serious things and more light hearted and fun things.
This song is about a guy that’s really falling head over heels for a guy. But I’m sure it’s something that both men and women feel for each other when they fall in love.
The hook is that this guy loves the girl so much that he wants to get her name as a tattoo. That’s a big step, but I guess it works well as the ultimate sign of commitment to someone you’re in love with.
Hopefully it works out for all those that get tattoos of names. I know it doesn’t always work out, but you have to take some chances in life. Maybe that’s what the song is about.
The melody is good and it’s really catchy. It sounds like a hit from the moment you hear the opening parts. Hunter is a rising country star. He sounds different than other artists out there and that’s a good thing. He’s doing something unique and he’s found a big group of fans that love it.
What are your thoughts on the new song?
