Daryle Singletary 90s Country

Do you remember this one from 1996?

Tomorrow we’re going to have new music from Daryle Singletary.

That’s exciting for me because Daryle was part of the great country music that came out in the ’90s. He has a traditional country spirit and he still brings that to his music today.

Daryle had some big time hits during his run on the charts. Things started out with I Let Her Lie and Too Much Fun in 1995. Those songs reached the top five on the charts and Daryle’s career was off and running.

Those songs are great, but today I wanted to focus on my favorite Daryle Singletary song, Amen Kind Of Love.

Amen Kind Of Love – Daryle Singletary

The song was released on Daryle’s second album in 1996 and reached #2 on the charts. That was Daryle’s second #2 song and he wouldn’t ever reach the top spot, but we’re still holding out hope.

You never know.

It’s a pretty classic country love song, but the rolling melody is really catchy and it’s the main reason I think the song was so popular. I know it’s still played quite a bit on classic country stations today. I hear it once in a while and always leave the channel dial alone when it comes on.

Darlye has a great country voice. He’s in the traditional vein and certainly fit in well in the ’90s when things got back to the traditional side once again.

It’s great to see that Daryle is still out there doing what he loves. I’m looking forward to reviewing his latest single tomorrow, but for today I’m going to enjoy one of the country classics from the ’90s.
