Here is a classic Kenny Chesney released 20 years ago this year.
On Saturday we’re going to get a new Kenny Chesney song for a review, but in anticipation of that I wanted to flashback 20 years this year when Kenny’s career was really starting to take off.
If you’re a diehard Kenny fan you probably know that Kenny first released an album and a even a few charting singles in 1993 and 1994 with a small record label. That album sold pretty welly for being independent and the songs charted in the top 60, which wasn’t bad either.
That was enough to get Kenny on a bigger label, BNA, and in 1995 thins were off and rolling.
The first single on BNA for Kenny was Fall In Love and it became a top ten hit in 1995. The song is fun and explores the joy and emotion you feel when you’re first falling in love with someone. And I guess maybe that feeling continues as you wake up every day with the person you love.
The song was really catchy and it made for a great first single or at least a first single in the sense of getting on a major label for Kenny. It’s still played regularly today on country radio and classic country radio.
The rest was history for Kenny after that first single.
The album, All I Need To Know, went gold and the title track became a big hit. The rest of the decade saw Kenny continue to build and build on his catalog and then he broke out and became a superstar in the 2000s.
But it all really started 20 years ago right around this time when Fall In Love came out and peaked in the top ten.

I think I have loved all of Kenny’s music, his Life on a Rock is my Favorite. I love being on the ROCK, St John USVI. He surprises me with all his New stuff and how much i really like it. Keep it coming Kenny, i hope to one day meet this amazing man.
