John Anderson

Here is one of the classics from John Anderson’s run of hits in the ’90s.

John Anderson has had a couple acts in his career. There were some really big hits in the early and mid ’80s. He kept on recording and touring in the late ’80s, but the hits kind of faded until he came back in a big way in the ’90s with some smash hit songs.

One of those smash hit songs in the ’90s was this classic.

I Wish I Could Have Been There – John Anderson

I still here this song on the radio all the time. John really came back strong with his music in the ’90s. That’s really when I started to get into his music. My dad loved the song Seminole Wind, which was a huge hit. My dad would put that on in the truck and I soaked up every second of it.

From there I kept listening to the hits John put out in the ’90s and then I went back and discovered his back catalog. The man is a country legend and this song has lasted as one of the biggest hits of his career.

It tells the story of people that get caught up in life. They miss out on things because they’re too busy working or too busy just living their lives. It’s a song about regret and makes you think about your priorities.

Great song from one of country’s biggest stars.
