Brantley Gilbert

It sure sounds like a #1 hit to me.

Brantley Gilbert knows that not everybody is his fan. He knows that he’s rubbed some the wrong way in the past. He knows that some people just don’t pay attention to his life and music.

And that’s totally fine.

That’s really the truth for most of us in this life. We can’t please everybody. Perhaps it’s better just to live life making choices that are best for you and those you care about most.

This seems to be the topic of Brantley’s next single.

The Ones That Like Me – Brantley Gilbert

This song seems like a step in a really good direction for Brantley. It has an anthem quality. I can imagine that his fans have already been singing the words back to him to this one in concert.

The song is about knowing how you stand with those closest to you. You can’t really make everybody happy in life, but if the ones that like you and are close to you love you then maybe you’re doing just fine.

Brantley is known for his party songs, but he’s also had a few reflective songs over the years. I would put this in that latter area. It’s about knowing who you are and loving who you are.

Brantley is getting into his 30s now. That’s an age where things usually begin to settle down a little bit. We fall into different routines.

And we even come to realize what’s really important in life. The people we care about most and that we’re closest with.

For Brantley that probably includes the fans that love him most.

Chart Estimate: #1

CML Points: 90/100
