Here is one from an independent artist out there looking to make his mark. I always respect musicians that are putting out their own music. They’re grinding to build a following and to perhaps get the attention of the major labels.

It’s also cool when independent artists don’t stop creating music. The good ones have always been the ones that keep writing and keep recording. They get better each time. It’s usually never your first or even 100th song that becomes your first hit.

I definitely like this one.

The story going on here is a young guy that’s going through that transition in life. He’s probably had a few girlfriends in the past. Maybe even one or two that he really thought he loved.

But then he kind of moved into young adulthood and maybe spent a little time being single. Seeing what was in the world. Figuring things out. Maybe those times were even pretty good. Maybe he wasn’t even looking for a serious relationship at the time.

But then came a girl.

That moment will change a lot of things. It’ll hit you on the side of the head and wake you up to what really matters. It happens to a lot of guys. Maybe not in your teens. Maybe not even in your 20s or 30s. But it does seem to hit and then things really change.

This is a good song from Garrett. I’ll be rooting for him.
