Another good one from one of country’s only traditionalist today.
Chris Young has been a very steady artist on the country charts the last few years.
He’s often not mentioned in the same breaths as the Jason Aldeans, Luke Bryans and Jake Owens out there, but perhaps it’s time to put him there.
Chris just released a new album and it’s off to a great start. The first single reached number one on the radio chart and it sounds like the second single could be a hit as well.

I’ve been a fan of Chris’s I think mostly because he’s doing some classic country stuff when there is really a void for it in the mainstream country world.
We live in a world right now where George Strait and Alan Jackson can’t get a lick of radio play. It’s crazy. I know they’re getting beyond their primes, but they’re still making great traditional country music.
We have a few artists like Chris and Joe Nichols still making great music that fits in well with radio today while still being true to the country roots.
Bringing a voice like Cassadee Pope on for this duet was awesome. I think she’s an artist that hasn’t gotten enough attention, but she’s still starting out and being on a hit song like this can only help.
The song is interesting. It seems to be about a couple that is apart now. They still each go out with friends and those friends seem to wonder where the other person is. It feels kind of off.
Great song with a cool melody, some real emotion and a classic country story.
