The floods have been devastating to areas in Tennessee recently. Those living near Nashville, surrounding areas, and other parts of Tennessee have seen their homes destroyed by the overflowing rivers. Some did not carry flood insurance because it’s been decades and possibly even centuries since this kind of flooding has been seen in the state.
In a great example of people helping people, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will host a flood relief concert to raise money for those affected by the flooding in Tennessee.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have generously given their time to help others in the past and they’ve collected many of their fellow country artists and friends in an effort to raise as much money for the people of Tennessee.
Other notable folks have been affected by the flooding as well including Scott Wells and Chad Clifton of the Green Bay Packers.
“My farm got a little bit of damage but really nothing compared to some of the people down there who lost absolutely everything,” Clifton said.
“There’s still a lot of work to be done, may try to do some more work on Fridays when I’m there and my kids are in school,” he said. “It’s going to be a long recovery process.
“The community is close. They’ll pull together and come through it.”
It’s great to see country stars helping those suffering from setbacks from the flooding and everyone can get involved by supporting the concert and other funds like The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Flood Relief.
