Top Country Songs of 2011 Part 16
25. 100 Proof – Kellie Pickler
Kellie Pickler has had two successful albums at this point in her career. She still seems like she has plenty to prove and she’s back with the second single from her third album. This one is the title track. It’s a love song and that makes sense for the country entertainer. Kellie is married now and seems to be deep in love with her husband. She’s also been busy working on this upcoming record and it should be one of the highlights of 2012.
24. Come Home – Faith Hill
One of the big stories of the 4th quarter in 2011 was the return of Faith Hill. The country queen took the stage at the fall award show and debuted a new single. Fans were going crazy and the song, Come Home, is sure to be one of the biggest hits of the new year. This one debuted high on the charts and is climbing fast as country fans get ready for 2012. Faith has another busy year planned touring and taking care of her family. She’s also been supporting her husband, Tim McGraw in all of his work with music over the last year. Things aren’t slowing down for country’s biggest couple.
23. Like My Dog – Billy Currington
Billy Currington has quietly been on a roll with his last handful of hits. It’s almost strange the way Billy has been flying under the radar the last couple years. Billy has been putting out some of the best songs of anybody out there and he’s keeping things going with Like My Dog. The song is sure to upset a few uptight country fans, but let your guard down a little and you’re sure to laugh at this one at least a little bit. What’s wrong with the relationship between a man and man’s best friend?
22. Camouflage – Brad Paisley
Brad Paisley just keeps the hits a comin’. This one has a little tongue-in-cheek appeal as do many of Brad’s hit. We all went to school with the kid that came in one morning and had his car painted entirely in camouflage. The song will make you laugh and smile. Hell, maybe it was you that painted the truck in camo and you might even still be driving that old thing around town. There’s nothing wrong with that of course. Camo is the color of nature after all.
21. Angel Eyes – Love & Theft
The guys are back and this time they’re a duo. Love & Theft went through some interesting times after their record label disbanded. Now two of the three are back with a new song and it’s one of the best releases in recent months. Hopefully this song doesn’t get overlooked in 2012 because there really is something special about it. The melody is catchy and the lyrics and music are great. Check this one out. You’ll be sure to add it to your playlist for the new year.
