We continue with the next five…
Top Country Songs of 2011 Part 7
20. Long Way To Go – Alan Jackson
Alan Jackson is back with a brand new single on his new record label. This has been one of the most anticipated singles of the year. Everybody was wondering what Alan would have up his sleeve after leaving Arista. Fans get a nice little treat with Long Way To Go or what might become known as the Bug In My Margarita song. It’s a good song and more of the good stuff from AJ. He knows how to write a good country song that makes you feel good. It’s summer in country world and Alan Jackson is on the radio. It does’t get much better.

19. Country Girl (Shake It For Me) – Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan was recently on CMT Crossroads with the Doobie Brothers. Luke mentioned how he figured he’d get a little flak for writing a song like Country Girl, but he knew it was a hit the moment he finished up the track. Sometimes you have to put your politically correct hat on the rack and let a song take control of you. This one is all about dancing and enjoying life this summer. It’s perfect for campfires and hanging out with friends. We don’t have to take life seriously all the time. And hey, it’s great watching the country girls shake it if they’re willing.

18. Storm Warning – Hunter Hayes
Before this year I had no idea who Hunter Hayes was. Apparently he’s been a musical prodigy since he was just a kid. Now Hunter is ready for the big time. His first official country single is just starting to crack the far reaches of the charts. Storm Warning is catchy. It’s definitely pop-country and I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but I’ve been giving it a few listens and I have to say I really like this one. Any guy that can play every instrument on his record is okay in my book and with a catchy song like this I’d say Hunter is ready for the big time.

17. Fish – Craig Campbell
Some people are a little shocked by this song, but that’s what it takes sometimes. When you’re singing along with Craig Campbell’s Fish be careful. You don’t want to be the one to mess up the lyrics when you’re looking for a rhyme. I’m surprised this song was chosen as a single, but after a few listens you realize it’s all about fun and not taking life too seriously. And besides, who doesn’t love going down to the lake for a little fishing? That’s what living is all about.

16. Fake I.D. – Big & Rich with Gretchen Wilson
It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest stories of 2011. Big & Rich are back and they’re back in a big way. It’s been about 3 or 4 years since Big & Rich were on the charts as a duo. Since then they’ve been busy working on their solo projects and furthering their careers in others areas including charity. Now the guys are back with the bar rocking tune Fake I.D. The song is great. It’s got everyone really rocking again. And friend Gretchen Wilson even joins in on the vocals. It’s 2011 and Big & Rich is back!
