January 6, 2012 by Dayne Shuda Leave a Comment

We’re all complete with the 2011 year in country music.

That means it’s time to look at the second half of the year and recap the best country music videos. These were the videos from the best artists of the year and included here are some of the top songs and performances from top artists.

There are also a couple of surprises that made the list, but when you make a great video it deserves recognition even if the song wasn’t a hit.

Check these out and share your thoughts on the list.

Top Country Videos of 2011 Part 3

20. Easy – Rascal Flatts with Natasha Bedingfield

Rascal Flatts made a great move in 2011. They brought in one of the best voices in pop music and created a great song and video. Easy became somewhat of a surprise hit this past year and further re-established RF as one of the best country bands of all time. These guys are rejuvenated and ready for more big things in the new year. You can’t keep these guys away for long. They are too talented and too driven.

19. That Girl – Kevin Fowler

This video came on strong in the last few weeks as a sleeper. Kevin Fowler has never really gotten his due as a major artist in the mainstream. With songs like That Girl I think it’s a crime he’s not regularly on the radio. And the video for the track is just as good. The production is great and the stories told in the video are classic. You can’t beat hanging out at the lake in the summertime with a few beautiful girls. Can’t miss country video right here.

18. If You Dont’ Want Me To – Ronnie Milsap

Comeback Artist of the Year? I don’t know if Ronnie Milsap got much attention in 2011, but the man had one hell of a song. You can’t miss this one. Sure, the video production isn’t the greatest, but anytime you have one of country’s biggest legends back in classic form there needs to be some attention provided. Check this one out and tell me it’s not a great video and song.

17. Something ‘Bout A Truck – Kip Moore

Kip Moore has been a nice surprise over the last year. His debut single got him a little recognition and his second single has been climbing the charts and is entering the top 30 just in time for the new year. The song is simple, but it has this incredibly catchy melody. Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that work best for a great song and video. You can’t miss this one from newcomer Kip Moore.

16. Let Me Go – Christian Kane

I have to mention Christian Kane on this list. This song, Let You Go, is awesome and one of the best of the year. The video also deserves praise. I’ve turned on CMT just about every morning the last few months and this song always comes on at some point. Christian has some of the greatest fans in country. They love him and really promote his every move including promoting this video when it came out. Great song Christian.

15. Tattoos On This Town – Jason Aldean

The last year was the biggest in Jason Aldean’s career. The next album should be interesting for Jason as he comes off his most successful album to date. The last single was Tattoos On This Town and the descriptions and images in the song made for a great video. You can’t keep this man off the video charts these days. He just keeps rolling out good ones.

14. Ours – Taylor Swift

The queen of country just keeps the hits coming. She’s always looking to reinvent herself with these videos and she’s successfully done it once again with Ours. The song is great and the video is like a modern day fairytale. Taylor can do no wrong these days and I’m sure she’ll find a way to make even more great music in the new year. Great video and already one of the top songs of 2012.

13. Alone With You – Jake Owen

Jake Owen just keeps on rolling. He had his biggest hit earlier in the year and his singles are starting to climb a little faster now. He let up on the control he once had over the writing of his songs and now he appears destine for even biggest success on the charts. This romantic single makes for a great video and the country fans are loving it…especially the women. Great video Jake and here’s to a great 2012.

12. I Love You This Big – Scotty McCreery

The little guy with the big voice had one of the top hits in 2011. The video also did well with the country crowd. This kid has a great future ahead of him and already has two major hits on his record. Things are looking good for this rising country star as he works his way through a very successful debut album. In a couple years we’ll probably be looking back on this debut video as the launching point. Great year for Scotty.

11. Crazy Girl – Eli Young Band

This was one of the biggest songs of the year. The Eli Young Band really came into their own this year and that was even after switching record labels. Now the guys seem to be rolling as they head into 2012 and I’m sure the video for Crazy Girl will continue getting airplay well into the new year. The song was huge with couples everywhere and it’s been playing on CMT and GAC nonstop since it was released. It’s a great video with a neat storyline and people can’t get enough.
