This new duo is stirring up some buzz in the country world.
This one popped up on New Boots recently. The sound was really cool. I try and listen to the song a few times before I dive into a new act. I’m not always able to. Curiosity gets the best of me, but this time I was able to just kind of fall in love with the song.

I had to look at the bio for this act. They sounded fresh and unique. And it turns out that they are pretty unique.
The act is Brown & Gray. It turns out that it’s Kaci Brown who’s from Texas and Sam Gray who is from the UK. There has been some influence from the UK in today’s country music. I don’t think there has been a superstar yet, but definitely some crossover.
Anyway, let’s check out their new song.
Top Down – Brown & Gray
I’m thinking that this one is going to chart. I don’t know if they’re with a label that can do that kind of pushing at radio, but it looks like they’re already seeing play on The Highway. That’s pretty cool. It doesn’t always mean that the song will make its way to being a hit, but it’s a good start.
I’ll have to listen to the lyrics through a few more times, but I think it’s about two people that are kind of struggling with love, but they find comfort and fun with each other. So they’re going to forget about the rest of the world and just hang out for awhile.
The big story here is that the song is really catchy. I like it.
