Maren Morris holds down the #1 on the chart again this week. That song has been popular here on CML and I hope it’s been getting some attention throughout the industry. Maren has some real talent as evidenced by her having two songs on the chart yet again this week.

Kristi Hoopes moves up to the #2 spot this week. That’s a great spot for a new artist.

David Nail and Easton Corbin each also inch up another notch in the top five and Lee Ann Womack climbs into the top five with one of her latest songs.

There are a few other movers in the middle of the chart and we also get five new songs with the highest debut coming from Thomas Rhett with Die A Happy Man. Thomas has been taking some criticism from traditionalists in the country world, but he’s stretching things out and having some great success and this is a really good song that seems like it will do very well.

Also watch for Next Boyfriend by Lauren Alaina. That song jumped all the way up to #26 this week after debuting last week.

How about the fact, also, that we get two new singles from veterans Toby Keith and Alabama. Great to see those acts on the charts.
