Definitely watch for this guy in the next few months.
This one popped up on the Hot Country playlist on Spotify recently. I’m not entirely sure what the rules are for that playlist, but it seems to be kind of the top 40 or so singles in the country music world. Like the Top 40 popular radio singles in country music.
Once in awhile a new artist or an independent artist pops up there and usually that’s a good sign for their future.
This one comes from Dylan Schneider. I looked back and it seems like we did one of his songs last fall. This one comes from that EP that came out last year. He has a new EP out now, but this is the song that’s been getting the attention.

Talk about catchy. That was the thing that really grabbed me when I heard this thing. It sounds like a hit at country radio. And that’s not easy for an independent artist. But Dylan has something here.
I think the story with the song is that two people are hanging out watching a band. Maybe at a bar or club or at some outdoor arena or something. They’re having a great time and they’re wondering if this is the start of something special.
But they’re mostly just in the moment with each other. They’re enjoying all the senses. The sights. The sounds. The little touches between them as they dance and sing along with the band.
This is a good song. I’m not sure if Dylan is partnered with a major label, but if he isn’t I would expect that to happen soon.
