What do you think of this new one from Reba?
Reba’s new album has been doing really well. The first single was a success, which was great on a few levels. It’s hard for established artists to continue to get radio play. Even George Strait has been struggling lately.
And women have been pushed out of radio, but you know Reba won’t go down without a fight. Here is her next single and it sounds like another good one.
Until They Don’t Love You – Reba McEntire
The song seems to be about a person realizing that she’s missed out on an opportunity on love. The person she’s been with she kind of took for granted. Now that person is gone and she finally realizes just how much she loved them.
It’s kind of scary to think about life this way. It is easy to get complacent with the one you’re with. You can kind of start to take them for granted and the trouble is you might not realize how much you really love them until they’re gone and they don’t love you back.
The story for me on this one is the production. This is pretty rocking and fits right in with the sounds you hear on country radio right now. Reba has always had a little bit of a rock side, but she’s bringing her music into the new world of country with this one.
It’s still Reba in every way, but she’s pushing herself and maybe that’s one of the reasons she’s still as relevant as ever.
