Thomas Rhett may have the ultimate summer song with his next single. This one stood out the first time I listened to his latest album when it came out. It’s definitely something different for the country audience, but if you let go of yourself I think you’ll be grooving to this one.

It’s gotta be really difficult to write a song like this. It’s about summer and having a good time and it seems like everything has been written in that vein especially the last few years.
Maybe on of the tricks is just to kick back and let the words and melodies flow. It seems like that was the setting for the creation of this song. It sounds like Thomas is just living the life and having a great time with good friends and family.
The lyrics are definitely country. You have someone that’s just chilling after doing some work. He doesn’t have everything in the world. He’s drinking cheap beer and chilling in a cheap chair. He’s with family and friends and having a great time with the simple things.
That’s kind of the ideal country vacation. You make do with what you have an no matter if you’re chilling on an old pontoon with buddies or hanging around a campfire with family you’re going to be having a great time and letting loose.
Thomas has been moving into the superstar stratosphere recently in the music world. It might not be too long before he’s headlining the big shows.
