Love this one.
I’ve been waiting on this one…
I don’t know how long it’s been. At least several months.
When William Michael Morgan came out with I Met A Girl it was a breath of neo-traditional country fresh air.
At the same time, William had an EP out and The Highway was playing the title track, Vinyl. It sounded like a big time hit. I have been playing it on Spotify ever since.
But William and his team came out with Missing for the second single. And it was a good choice. But the song kind of stalled out just inside the top 30.
That’s alright, though. It sounds like now Vinyl will get its chance. I hope you like it.
Vinyl – William Michael Morgan
I’m a fan of just about all kinds of music. And especially all kinds of country music. But I’m always a little partial to this kind of country music. The Alan Jackson and George Strait brand of country.
And it’s obvious that William Michael loves that style too. If you check out his YouTube page you’ll see a ton of great traditional country covers.
Anyway, this song just has a great groove. I think that’s the biggest thing it has going for it. It’s super fun, flirty and easy to rock on the porch too.
It’s a love song comparing a woman to a vinyl record. Classy. Classic. Everything good about those days of chilling and listening to great music on vinyl records.
I hope this one gets William Michael back to the top of the charts. What do you think?
