Josh Thompson has had an up and down career. He’s consistently put singles in the top 25 on the charts, but he hasn’t really broken through to become a mainstay on radio or on the album charts. He’s also had to deal with a few label changes.
It seems like now that Josh might have stability with his record label and with his new album. The songs sound great. The first single was a success and now it’s time for the second single. It’s a good one. Check it out.
Wanted Me Gone – Josh Thompson
This song is catchy. It’s about a guy who had his woman tell him to hit the road. Now she wants him back, but he’s moved on. And he’s telling her his feelings in the funnest way he knows how. He’s looking at her like, “You were the one that wanted me gone? Quick playing with my mind, girl.”
I’m only 29 years old and it’s hard to know what you want in life sometimes. I can see it from both sides of the coin on this one. The girl probably didn’t know what she wanted and the guy is probably going crazy with all the indecision. I don’t know if it gets better as get older, but I can only hope so.
I’m sure a lot of folks out there will like this song. It’s a message and emotion that a lot of us can relate to and Josh puts a great spin on it with the melody and vocals. He’s a great artist and I hope he finds some consistency on charts now.
Plus he’s a Wisconsin guy so you know I’m rooting for him.
