Country fans are getting pretty excited about the new album from Alabama.
The guys ruled the charts in the ’80s and ’90s. They stopped with the heavy schedule of new music and touring the last 10-15 years.
They’ve been busy doing other projects as individuals and they’ve done some work over the years as a band, but now they’re back with a full album and the first single is ready to go.
Let’s check it out.
Wasn’t Through Lovin’ You Yet – Alabama
Man it’s great to have that sound and that voice back again.
Alabama was such a huge part of country music, but the challenge for acts in their situation is to remain relevant as music changes.
And the anticipation always builds after such a long time away.
But I think Alabama really did something great with this song. It sounds fresh. The production has elements of modern country music, but since it’s the same guys it also has their classic sound.
The song is, I think, about a guy that is pleading with his girl not to leave him. He’s not sure he can deal with that.
I think the song is a little open-ended so you can interpret the situation in a number of different ways.
The guitar solo at the end is something that was always there with the classic sound the band had and it’s been something found in modern country music as well.
Great song. I think it sounds like a hit. And the guys seems to have major label backing on this one.
I hope it gets played on radio.
