Waterloo Revival

This one could be their first hit.

Toby Keith is back with a new single. It seems like he’s going to have a modern day hit with it. One that does really well on YouTube and streaming services. Maybe not radio, but you never know.

Waterloo Revival is also back this spring/summer with a new single and it’s gaining some steam.

An interesting thing is that Waterloo Revival is on Toby’s Show Dog label now. I had kind of thought that Toby had cut things back so he was really the only artist on his label along with his daughter.

But he must have seen something in these guys. Maybe they’ll be his first really big breakout act other than himself on the label.

What Guy Wouldn’t – Waterloo Revival

This song is definitely catchy. That’s something that these guys have shown in their short career up to this point. They have a knack for doing things that are a little on the edge of country. A little pop, but there’s nothing wrong with that. They make music that’s uptempo and that makes you want to move a little bit.

This one sounds like a potential radio hit. A little like Love & Theft maybe? A little Dan + Shay? There’s a void there a little bit for a sound like this.

The song is pretty straight ahead. Lyrics about a guy seeing a girl that is really taking him back. He’s not sure if she’s with someone right now, but he’s going to make his move.

I think this one could be a hit.

Chart Estimate: #15

CML Points: 87/100
