It’s been a little quiet on the Hunter Hayes front. His last single, 21, was a strong hit. It climbed up around number 20 on the radio chart and seemed to get some solid and consistent play on the radio. Then he put out the corresponding album, which was a unique collection of studio and acoustic songs.
So it’s been a little too quiet. We’re going to add one of the songs from The 21 Project to CML and see how it does. Hunter gets a little help from Lady Antebellum on this one.
Where It All Begins – Hunter Hayes
This one has been on Hot Country on Spotify for a long time. I think it’s also been on Wild Country and I love both those playlists so I’ve heard this song for a few months. I ignored it on CML though kind of waiting to see if it would be released as a single or what.
It’s an inspiring, uplifting song about the challenges you can go through in life. I would say that it’s a little vague, but in a good way. It’s meant to kind of reach people that are struggling with something, anything and kind of show them that no matter what you’re going through there is always an upside. Every challenge can be an opportunity and if you’re knocked down it really will make you stronger if you choose to approach it that way.
It’s a really good song. And Lady Antebellum adds even more depth and meaning to things. It’s a great collaboration.
What do you think of this one? Have you heard it?
CML Points: 88/100
