Here is a cool artist. Cody Johnson appeared on the charts with his last album. That thing sold pretty well and it was really impressive because Cody is still an independent artist.

There was some big buzz leading up to Cody’s latest release and he didn’t disappoint. This new album debuted at #2 on the country charts. It’s one way for artists to go. It’s challenging still to have singles at radio, but there are new ways for people to discover new songs like this one.

Cody is obviously a traditional country singer. That’s something I really appreciate. They really know what country music is all about down there in Texas. It’s pretty cool that an artist like Cody can make some waves in the mainstream country world today.

This song has a great sound to it. I chose this one off his album because it looked like it was the most popular track off the new album on Spotify. But it was a close call because the other songs all seem to have some strong play.

I think this one is about the love a guy has for a woman. And it’s not that he wants to change her or anything. He understands that she’s a free and wild spirit. She needs to keep moving and be out there in nature and living that kind of life.

I think that it’s about a woman, but I don’t know for sure. Maybe it’s about a horse? I’ll have to listen to this one a few more times to try and figure it out and that’s just fine with me.
