So yesterday we looked at the brand new single from Hunter Hayes.
I mentioned that it was interesting that the new singles is off an upcoming new album.
Storyline, Hunter’s sophomore album, had two pretty strong singles off it and there were a bunch of other good songs. But for whatever reason they’re moving on to the third album already.
You could say maybe that Storyline was a little disappointing in terms of having a huge radio hit and in terms of sales numbers. But it was a strong album. It’s always tough to followup a big album with another big album.
But since it’s Wednesday I always like to look back on songs that were just album cuts and for whatever reason couldn’t make it as singles.
I think the lead off song on Storyline is a good one to include this week.
I remember reading somewhere or hearing Hunter talk about this song in an interview. He was very proud to include it on the record and felt that it was a real rocker that would be awesome live.
I’m sure he’s been performing this one. And I’m sure people have been loving it.
The song is about a girl that sees herself maybe as a little too boring, but the guy finds her amazing. He actually sees her as a little wild card; one that he can’t quite figure out all the way, but he loves her for everything she is.
And like most of Hunter’s songs, this one is really catchy.
So we’re looking at it today. Maybe he’ll release it in the future, but we’ll enjoy it until then.
