Another good one from Caelin Anne.
We had Caelin on the blog just a couple months ago. That song has done pretty well on our little CML New Country Music Chart.
It looks like Caelin recently put out another single. I love this time in country music. Really in any music genre. An artist can create and put out music on their own. I like using Spotify and YouTube. I know that you might use one of the other streaming channels.
Anyway, let’s check this new one out from Caelin.
Without You – Caelin Anne
I have to mention the traditional country production on this one. There’s a cool music hook toward the last third of the song. I think that’s a steel guitar. But I’m not the best at picking out instruments, but it reminds me of some classic traditional country. You get that once in awhile these days, but not as much.
The song is about a woman that’s getting over a guy. It sounds like he was the one to break things off. And it caught the woman off guard a little bit. She was putting her entire self into the relationship. She thought that he was too.
But maybe the love from her was blinding. And maybe she wanted it more than she should have.
Anyway, she’s coming to the realization now that she’s better off without him. It took a little time to get through the fog of love and commitment, but she’s on the other side of it now and ready to move on.
CML Points: 83/100
Another wonderful song from Caelin Anne! I love her voice! I can’t wait to hear what she has next in her line up! She has a bright fut
ure!
I love the groove of this song — by the end it feels like an anthem. Caelin Anne’s voice is dynamite. And, yes, the pedal steel guitar is killer – really brings a flavor of old school country to this tune !
