Joe Nichols came back in a big way in 2013.
His new single, Sunny And 75, reached the number spot on the singles charts. Joe had switched labels and was looking for a slightly different sound. The result was the album Crickets and it’s been a hit so far.
Now it’s time for the second single and it’s another good one.
Yeah – Joe Nichols
This song seems to be a great extension off the success of Sunny And 75. There is the new modern sound for Joe Nichols in this song.
That new songs has a little more gloss on the production along with some heavier sounding guitars, but it all blends nicely with a great song that is romantic and laid back.
I’ve been a fan of Joe’s since he first came out back in the early ’00s. What drew me to him was his neotraditional style. He was like a modern day Alan Jackson and after more than a decade Joe is still out there having success.
This new sound is great. It’s the perfect blend of modern country with traditional country.
I can easily see this song entering the top five and even the top three on the charts. We’ll have to see how long it takes to get there, but from the sounds of this song and the others on the new album I think Joe is set to have a very good 2014.
