Clare Bowen and Chris Carmack

A fun country song on the Opry stage from Clare Bowen and Chris Carmack.

There have been some really good songs from the series Nashville. I think people get caught up in the crazy stories on the show – for good reason – but don’t overlook the music that’s going on. These actors are real country singers with great voices and a lot of talent.

Here is a live performance from two of the stars on a fun country song.

You Ain’t Dolly – Chris Carmack and Clare Bowen

This one is about a young couple that kind of starts flirting with each other. The hook of the song is that neither is all they think they are and in this case the “think they all” is Dolly and Porter. Those two are obvious stars and country legends. It would be hard for anyone to fill those shoes and I think that’s the fun part of the song.

You have two people kind of messing with each other and trying to bring down each others egos just a notch or two. It’s a fun song with plenty of twang and plenty to like. The two have obvious chemistry and they do a great job in this live performance on the Opry stage.

I could listen to this kind of country music all day long. Great song.

CML Points: 84/100

that song had me hooked right from the into ! ! !
country songs like that are fun to listen to. If the producers of the Nashville show let songs like that be played, maybe those kind of song will make a come-back. I HOPE SO
