The Zac Brown Band is set to kick off 2011 in style with a new single.
It’s been pretty snowy and cold here in the Midwest so Colder Weathercertainly hits the mark up here. The song is about a guy that leaves a woman. He is torn between his leaving ways and wanting to stay with her to see her again. The woman wants him to stay but realizes he’s destined to leave.
The Zac Brown Band has made their mark on country with air tight musicianship and soaring vocals. They’re unlike any other act in the business right now. Their lyrics tell stories that hit home for listeners yet there is always some ambiguity to the words. The songs can always be interpreted in different ways. Is Colder Weather an autobiographical tale about Zac and his own wife? Is he the gypsy that keeps leaving to play his music for the fans. Is he the one torn between the love of his family and his love of playing music?
Based on the way Zac Brown and his band have been doing on the charts it’s a safe bet to say Colder Weather will at least make the top five. For some reason the slower songs always have a harder time shooting up the charts. It’s usually the snappy tunes that make it to number one. In this case though the Zac Brown guys have found a way to make their slow songs hits. The soaring vocals and big choruses of powerful words and even stronger music appeal to fans.
Zac Brown and his band are on a roll and they’re starting things off well for 2011 despite a little chilly weather.
